Yesterday morning the Onside Team were treated to a special futsal training session. Onside apprentice, Andy Cahill, who recently represented the England visually impaired futsal team at the Co-ordinations Cup, led the session and taught us about how futsal is different from regular football.
Did you know? The ball used in futsal is heavier than a regular football, so it's best to use the sole of your foot to control and roll the ball out in front of you (rather than your in-step) - you can see James' expert demonstration of this in the photos!
Mike would also like me to point out the photo of James' penalty against him, which he duly saved. Nice one Mike! And a big thanks to Andy for a highly informative and exciting session
