To help provide you with the best possible customer experience, we've included below a selection of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). So whether you've got a query about child protection, a quandary regarding Forest Schools, or a simple question about how our holiday activities work, then this is the section for you.
Q: How important is child protection and safeguarding to Onside Coaching?
A: Very important. Child safety is always our top priority, whether we are teaching P.E. in schools, running a school holiday camp or delivering a child's birthday party. All of our staff are regularly trained in child protection and safeguarding to ensure that your children's needs always come first. When we're at schools we work with staff to make sure that the correct procedures are always followed, and our online booking system for holiday camps and extra-curricular clubs means that we will always have the information we need to keep your children safe and secure at all times.
Q: Where can I find out about Onside Coaching's child protection and safeguarding policies?
A: Our policies on child protection and safeguarding can be found in our Holiday Childcare Policy.
Q: Who are Onside's designated safeguarding leads (DSLs)?
A: Onside's DSLs are Sean Rellis and Tom Sidwell. If you have a question about our child protection and safeguarding policies, then you can contact them either via email or via phone on 01926 496 406.
Q: What time does it start?
Q: Can I pay on the day?
A: No. With the introduction of our new online booking system, all bookings must now be paid for at check-out. Furthermore, childcare voucher payments will need to be arranged a few days in advance so that your account can be credited prior to booking. Q: Where will you be if I need to pick my child up early?
A: If you inform one of our staff in the morning that you will be collecting your child early, then they will let you know where to pick your child up from. Each venue has its own mobile phone on site if you need to speak to our staff leader directly. The relevant contact numbers are visible on the Homepage.
Q: What does my child need to bring?
Q: What should I wear for Forest Schools?
A: The perfect shoes would be walking boots or shoes. If you don’t own a pair of these already don’t worry; wellies are ideal if it is or has been raining or if the ground is wet. If it is dry then trainers would be fine. Forest school trousers are advisable over shorts as there are bramble and stinging nettles, and a water proof coat whatever the weather as you are outside and the weather could always change.
Q: What time will the Dance Show take place?
A: The Dance Show will start at 3pm on Thursday, where the children will perform all of the dances that they have learnt throughout the week.
Q: Where do I go to watch the Dance show?
A: If you head to where registration takes place each morning, a member of the Onside Team will be waiting for you to show you where to go.
